Jurek’s sudden natural death came as a surprise, despite him being partially paralyzed and mostly bed-ridden after several attempts on his life (including two bombings). At the end of his life he made peace with old enemies. He died surrounded by friends.
He was a strong personality, who fought a long fight to be respected and equal to others. Some say he succeeded, but if it is so, he undoubtedly paid a very high price for it.
